Description
The sunset settles along the horizon, low and steady, casting a soft glow that touches the sky in bands. Clouds drift across the upper half, some thick, others thin, catching and holding the last light. Below, a river winds through the scene, its surface uneven, reflecting patches of sky and streaks of color. The light fades gradually, without rush. Along the water’s edge, the brightness dims, giving way to shadow. The river continues forward, quiet and sure, carrying traces of the sky as the day gives way to what follows.
